A letter to Mrs. Harris from Abby

Abby asked if she could send some pictures to her class back home today, so picked out a few to post and she also wrote a note to go along with it. We miss you Meiklejohn friends!!!

Dear Mrs. Harris – I miss you. What are you doing? Are you doing some games? Are you doing some writing with my friends? I hope you are having a great time. I have learned spanish. I have also learned surfing. I have standed up on my surf board. One day I saw a baby turtle. My mom and dad got a lot of jellyfish stings. My brother Ben has lots of bug bites. I have seen a big monkey and a baby monkey. I touched the baby monkey. One of the monkey’s I saw steeled my brothers sunglasses, but he got them back. My friend Annie is from Canada. Love, Abby

    Dear Abby,
Your pictures are cool. You are really brave. Surfing looks fun. How far do you go from the land? What kind of food do you eat there? Have you seen a sloth yet?
We have been writing “how to” books. You could write one on how to surf since you are so good at it. We have also been learning about a new author, Jan Brett. We are learning about non-fiction too. We really miss you. Please send us more pictures again. We really like looking at them.
Love Your Friends in Mrs. Harris’ Class
