I was with a friend yesterday who made me promise I would actually be a part of posting material to our family’s blog, so with one day to departure, I decided to take a break from packing and cleaning out the fridge.

I’m guessing this will be the last time “snow” is a part of my post title, but today was one of those absolutely perfect Colorado snow days. Saturday morning, big flakes, nowhere to go – didn’t have to dig the gloves out or dig the car out, but just enjoy a perfect December morning at home.

The kids are full of excitement and anticipation, our community has been supportive, our family and friends have been nothing short of amazing, our school – the kids’ teachers and principal – 100% on our team. These last few days, we are reminded of how much we are carried by our community in our daily lives. I have no doubt that this moment in time will be as much a part of our journey as the rest of the trip.
