Welcome to our travel journal website! As the father of 3 children and a trained web designer, it seemed only appropriate to start to document our entire planning process as well as our year of travel online for the world to see. We hope that you enjoy reading about our preparation as well as our travels when they commence in August of 2011. It’s fascinating to look back and read this very first post – 2 1/2 years later. We’ve come so far from that point, yet, not very far at all. Plans changed in every direction and our journey evolved into a multi-year adventure. As I write this post, we are prepping for our third trip to Costa Rica in less than a year, this time with friends to celebrate Thanksgiving. Last year at this point, my children had never left the United States. Amazing where this world takes us..
