Celebrating the 4th of July – Colorado Style

Wow, it’s been a long time since we’ve written. Life has been quite a whirlwind since we came back to Colorado. It’s been great to be home, but it has also left me longing for the quieter life of Tamarindo.

Summer in Colorado means swim team, summer camp for the kids, and my favorite holiday of the year, the 4th of July. Every year we host a gigantic party for our friends and neighbors and this year was no exception. When we left for Costa Rica last December, our friends presented us with t-shirts that said something like “If lost, return us to Colorado by July 3rd” – it’s a really fun party.

As is my tradition, I create a short re-cap video every year with the highlights of the party and festivities and I just completed this years (only 21 days later!) so I wanted to post it up here as part of the celebration.

Thank you to all of our friends who help and contribute so much time, energy and food to the event every year. We really could not do this without all of you. It is a true community event.

Enjoy the re-cap of the 7th Annual 4th on the Beech Party.
